Events The OITS holds an annual 'Explore Oak Island Day' which is a fascinating celebration of the Oak Island mystery. In 2005, this provided the opportunity for the general public to meet people involved in past excavations, view artefacts recovered from various pits, see the famed video footage from inside famous Borehole 10X pit and most importantly, actually enjoy a tour of the island, with kind permission of landowners and treasure hunters, Dan Blankenship and David Tobias. The weekend also provided the opportunity for many of our forum members to meet one another face to face over a beer in The Black Pearl on Western Shore. Please see the 'Events' section on the left hand menu for details of the 'Explore Oak Island Days' taking place in August 2007. A not-to-be-missed event for anyone interested in Oak Island and the Money Pit! |
