At Explore Oak Island Days every year, there are a die-hard group of us who have been friends for years. Talking daily on the Forum and Facebook, we always have a wonderful time over the weekend, finally having the chance to laugh and theorise in person, rather than behind a computer screen. As we have been following the mystery for a number of years, we have become all too familiar with those who attribute special significance to benign objects, looking for clues to solve our favourite mystery. During the weekend, we all got our heads together and saw whether we couldn't have the mystery solved by the end of the event on Sunday afternoon by examining the strange and myserious objects we located during the tours of Oak Island. Here are our findings! Here is the Dream Team working at solving the Oak Island mystery at the Oak Island Resort. It was essential to be connected to the Forum at all times, keeping a direct link to the international Oak Island community. (Left to right - the Reverend, FP and MassMax).
The Reverend Kyle explains his findings to forum members Tank04 and FP, who is taking the whole exploration very seriously indeed.
The mysterious skull stone discovered at Gold River, no doubt connected to the pirates of Oak Island.
Long time treasure hunter, and one time Oak Island resident Dan Henskee discovers an ancient rum bottle close to a stone of Nolan's Cross, undoubtedly discarded by the creators of the Money Pit. Fellow investigators Rev. Wagner and Dr. Sayer gasp in amazement.
Rev. Wagner and Dr. Sayer discover a significant stone shaped stone. It would have been easy to walk on by and not spot this subtle clue, but the investigators were sharp as ever and able to examine this enigmatic marker.
Our investigators discover a bucket handle, probably neolithic.
The clues came quick and fast. Next they passed the strange pile of rubbish, forming the final point in what has become known as the Wagner Triangle. What could it all mean?
Another marker?
A strange formation discovered by MassMax, known as the Maxwell Cross. When interviewed about this discovery, Mr Maxwell had the following to say: An example of the mysterious phenomena known as a "Maxwell's Cross", tiny sinkholes arranged in the shape of a Celtic or Christian cross that appear at random across Oak Island. When offered to the author's of the Wagner-Sayer theory as an essential clue, they sneeringly dismissed it with the comment "Rubbish!" A feud is born.
Further clues yeild more leads... What do the Queen and Darwin have to do with Oak Island?
We are lucky enough to have an exclusive view of our investigators' casebook.
DISCLAIMER - if you are reading this and thinking that we are actually believing we have solved the mystery, then think again! The above photos were taken for amusement, so please do not issue a press release on the significance of the ancient bucket handle. |
