| Finding the Jolicure Pit today |

The Jolicure Pit is another mystery originating in New Brunswick, Canada which bears a startling resemblance to the Oak Island Money Pit. After a spot of online research, I was able to pin point an area today known as the Jolicure Pond.
This picture forms part of an artistic project by Thaddeus Holownia where the artist has utilised a pond lying below his home to study different atmospheric conditions and changes in light. Thaddeus explained that he is not familiar with the story of the Jolicure Mystery Pit but has heard of the old Acadian treasure or the Jolicure treasure which supposedly originated from the valuables of the Acadians which were gathered together and buried in Jolicure before the expulsion. By coincidence, he also has a cottage on the south shore of Nova Scotia between Chester and Mahone Bay in view of Oak Island. He has heard that two large boulders (one on the island where the cottage is) are supposed to have marked the way for Captain Kidd, so it is serendipitous that I should have found my way to his website. As the Jolicure legend mention names of those involved in the discovery, it is my hope that it may be possible to find out when and where these people were living. One would think that if an operation took place involving hydraulic pumps and a mineral auger, it would have been pretty unusual for a small community and someone may made a comment about it in local press, or recall an elderly relative retelling the story.
